Historic charm but needs a refresh
Stayed for a night. The building is super cool with lots of history, and the staff was really nice. But the room? Total let down. Crummy heat and no blankets? In December? The on-site cafe was decent tho, so at least there's that.

We experienced a 13 hour airport delay in Buenos Aires so arrived at your hotel at 10pm rather than 9am. The receptionist that night, Angela was charming and sympathetic and allowed us a late checkout the following day. She was welcoming and cheerful! The wonderful young waitress (she was married to the chef) gave us a plate of cookies and a glass of milk when she heard we were diasppointed at having missed that treat. We really enjoyed our meal so took the cookies to our room. We loved the decor and ambience. Thank you for mending two weary travellers. The Magnolia and staff were a happy experience

I liked the historical aspect of it. It would have been nice to see or know more about the history of the building. I also liked the design and it was very comfortable and accommodating.
There was theft in some other guests rooms while I was there, a little unsettling.

Easy check-in, clean, freash room, good location, nice bar area, good price for d/town Dallas.
$24 per night parking, NOT advertised when booking hotel. They charge you $24, the take your car to Nieman Marcus and park it for free. Seems a bit dishonest to me.

The location was perfect for the marathon, just a
Couple of blocks away. I enjoyed the accessibility to restaurants and entertainment. Unfortunately, the plumbing issues in the room left much to be desired. I expected better upkeep from the hotel.

The hotel's vibe is awesome, especially the retro decor and a cozy library filled with old books! Plus, the sweet cookies and milk served at night were a nice touch after a long day.

The folks down ther were real nice. Modern design in old style building. Cozy room. Milk and cookies, free drinks. Good area
The food was hit or miss. The pork sliders we ordered at 530pm were decent but the steak was way over cooked, mashers were boring, carrots were raw and cut very "rustic." The pan seared chicken was dry and the sauces were weak. Mushroom ragout was simple and fingerling potatoes were great. The burger we ordered around 11pm was surprisingly delicious but the fingerlings we subbed out for this time were half way under cooked. The pizza sauce was awful and the bread was under done and too doughy.
